Disunited Kingdom : The Debates

  1. According to « Mr France », the E.U. Isn't dead, contrary to what Mr Farage said, because Europe was hurt / weakened by Brexit, but it is « still standing » and it is still strong with its 26 members.
  2. In Alrick's and Amine's opinion, we shouldn't be tough on them because they might regret their decision. If we make them regret, it will be their biggest punishment !
  3. Students believe we should never get rid of the Euro because it's a great / beautiful currency because it is very practicial / useful / convenient when we travel abroad, and it's a great thing for trade / commerce...
  1. Pauline believes we should humiliate David Cameron because he is the one who decided to have this referendum. He lost and he resigned. He didn't anticipate / prepare for the worst.

Raconter une histoire au passé
# Verbe Régulier = +ED
# Verbe Irrégulier : à apprendre 2e colonne

Donner un conseil / une recommandation :
SHOULD
Ex : You should participate more, nothing to lose !

Exprimer la probabilité :
MIGHT < MAY < COULD < MUST
Ex : Northern Ireland might leave the UK, it's not impossible !...

Contraction : Le Royaume est Désuni

Despite the victory of Brexit in Wales and England, Scotland and Northern Ireland decided to remain in the European Union.
Will the UK disappear ? / It could be the end of the UK !
The Scottish First Minister wants a new referendum on Scottish Independence to stay in the EU.
The Irish Nationalists, Sinn Feinn, also demanded a referendum for the reunification of Ireland.
If Scotland left the UK, Ireland could follow in Scotland's footsteps.
The Northern Ireland government reassured everyone : there will no change in the short term.
Catholics / Protestants → Tension
David Cameron
